Lt. Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Head of Department of Community Police Department at the Abu Dhabi Police, honored the winners of the women’s bowling and race walking championships. The championships come as a part of the sporting activities organized by the Sports Activity Section at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development in the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
The women’s bowling team won first place in the bowling championship held at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club, and the women’s race walking team won second place in the race walking championship held at Al Khalidiyah Park in Abu Dhabi.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom welcomed the winners and highlighted the important role of women in policing fields. “The police commands are keen to provide women with all the tools necessary to succeed and to be qualified for all police activities. Sports activities are one way to help raise the fitness level of the women who have joined Abu Dhabi Police,” he said.
