Abu Dhabi Police Airlifts 3 Injured People and 2 Patients to Khalifa, Al Mafraq, and Tawam Hospitals

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Friday, October 10th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

An air ambulance from the Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department carried out five separate missions and transported three injured people and patients from various nationalities to Khalifa, Al Mafraq, and Tawam Hospitals, to pursue further medical treatment over the course of last week.

In the first case, the Air Wing Department received notification from the Central Operations Room regarding an Emirati national at the Madinat Zayed Hospital in the Western Region whose deteriorating health condition required him to be transported to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The air ambulance responded immediately to transfer the 64-year old patient. The medical team on board of the air ambulance provided the necessary medical care to the patient throughout the flight to the hospital.

In the second case, the Air Wing Department’s helicopter airlifted an Emirati woman who sustained first and second-degree burns from Swaihan clinic.  The medical crew provided her with the necessary first aid care and then transferred her to Al Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi for further treatment. In the third case, the air ambulance also transported an infant from Dalma Island Hospital to Tawam Hospital in Al Ain; where he received the necessary medical care.

In a separate mission, the air ambulance airlifted a 32-year-old injured Bengali who sustained injuries in a car accident on Hamim Road in the Western region, to Al Mafraq Hospital to pursue further medical treatment after providing him with the necessary first aid. The air ambulance crew also provided medical care to a man who had sustained injuries in a car accident on the trucks road in Al Ain. He was then transferred to Tawam Hospital to pursue further medical treatment.
