The campaign has already managed to achieve a number of goals, notably preserving public money; refraining from making illicit gains from the job; avoiding abuse of position or power for personal gains.

The lectures were moderated by Captain Mohammed Al Shamesi and expert Keith Deacon from the Anti-Corruption Department. The lectures tackled the police leadership’s directives to establish the Anti-Corruption Department, in order to develop and implement efficient policies to instill integrity and transparency in community members, and educate them on the need to reject corruption, as well as to develop preventive mechanisms and strategies with the participation and collaboration of all sectors and institutions in the country.

The lectures, which were attended by a large number of employees at ADNEC, also discussed the negative effects of corruption. They shed the light on the important role of families in nurturing young people and building a corruption-free society; setting educational awareness programs on protection of integrity in public and private sectors, and encouraging citizens and residents to cooperate with relevant authorities by reporting such crimes and their perpetrators. The lectures also called upon educational institutions to add these terms to their lexicon and to the public education and university curricula, and to regularly conduct educational awareness programs about the importance of integrity and honesty.
