Al Ain Police Organize Pistol Shooting Championship for Staff Members

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, December 30th 2014 [ME NewsWire]

The Al Ain Police Directorate organized on Monday, the Director of Al Ain Police Directorate’s Championship for pistol shooting. The Championship, which was held in cooperation and coordination with the Sports Activity Section at the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, took place at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club.

The championship embodies the keenness and attention of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, represented by Al Ain Police Directorate, to support sports, cultural and recreational activities for police staff members in a constructive competitive sporting atmosphere.

A total of 40 female and male staff members from Al Ain Police took part in the championship. The top-ranked competitors in the Directorate’s sections and stations competition for men were as follows: the Falaj Hazzaa Police Station ranked first, followed by the Criminal Investigation Section and Al Khazna Police Station in the second and third places respectively.

Top achievers in the Directorate’s sections and stations competition for women were as follows: the Falaj Hazzaa Police Station ranked first, followed by the Strategy and Performance Development Section and Zakher Police Station in the second and third places respectively.

Top-ranked competitors in the singles’ competition for men were, Rashid Al Dir’e from the Falaj Hazza Police Station came in first place, followed by Eid Al Moukbali from the Falaj Hazza Police Station in second place and Ali Mohammed Al Bloushi from the Criminal Investigation Section in third place.

Top achievers in singles’ competition for women were as follows: Wafaa Mounir from the Strategy and Performance Development Section ranked first, followed by Sara Al Nuaimi from the Falaj Hazza Police Station and Latifa Al Kuwaiti from the Investigation Section in the second and third places respectively.

The top achievers honoring ceremony was attended by Colonel Mohammed Hamad Al Badi, from the Al Ain Police Directorate; Major Saif Hassan Al Mansouri, Chief of the Public Relations Section, along with a number of officers, non-commissioned officers and constables from Al Ain Police.
