Al Ka’bi Council Encourages Fostering Traffic Awareness

With the Participation of the Abu Dhabi Traffic Police

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Sunday, February 7th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

Participants at the council held by Juma’a Saeed Al Ka’bi stressed the importance of fostering efforts to increase traffic awareness among all community segments and increasing public engagement in traffic awareness programs. This will minimize and reduce traffic accident rates. It will also spread and promote the traffic culture and abiding by traffic laws, especially among the youth.

The council’s host Juma’a Saeed Al Ka’bi praised the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police to encourage close cooperation and to develop its community message via public councils, as an interactive medium to enhance the traffic culture.

Colonel Jamal Al Ameri, Chief of Public Relations Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, pointed out the dangers of driving without a license, an act which endangers the lives of the driver and other road users. He also encouraged parents and families to abide by the law and never allow their children to drive without a license, as this poses great dangers and breaks the law.

First Lieutenant Hamed Mohammed Al Bloushi, from the Public Relations Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, delivered a lecture entitled ‘Communication Language on the Road: Warning, Compulsory, and Directive Signage.’ He also asserted that ignoring safety precautions and conditions endangers drivers and other road users’ safety.
