The Directorate General of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior hosted a ceremony to honor its members who participated in putting out the Address Hotel fire. The celebration took place in the presence of Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Civil Defense General Commander-in-chief at the Ministry of Interior, and a number of officers and members of the Directorate General of Civil Defense.
Major General Al Marzouqui assured that the honorees’ amazing achievement in putting out the Address Hotel fire wasn’t the result of coincidence, but the result of a strategy adopted by the leadership to qualify and train its members to enable them to respond to difficult situations.
He also added that the entire world witnessed the capability and efficiency of the civil defense members along with their ability to handle fires. “We are continuing the work to enhance the civil defense journey and equip all its members with everything they need for the success of their humanitarian missions according to the highest international levels and standards,” he assured.
