During the fourth annual forum organized by the Directorate General of Finance and Support Services in Abu Dhabi under the slogan “Because You Are Distinguished”, the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Directorate General of Finance and Support Services honored its distinguished staff members, strategic partners, and suppliers.
The forum was attended by Major General Salem Al Shamesi, Director General of Finance and Services at MoI; Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al Ali, Deputy Director General; Mohamed Rashid Al Za’abi, Undersecretary of the State Audit Institution; Mohammed Saif Al Hameli, Director General of the General Pension and Social Security Authority; Azza Al Suwaidi, Head of the Revenue Development Department at the Ministry of Finance; Abdullah Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of the Operations Department at the Ministry of Finance; Brigadier Mohammed Ali Al Marzouqi, from the Directorate General of Finance and Support Services; along with department heads, deputy heads of departments, chiefs of sections, and a number of officers from the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development and the Directorate General of Finance and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior.
Brigadier Mohammed Ali Al Marzouqi said that the Ministry of Interior has dedicated special attention to transferring knowledge and expertise acquired from its successive generations. “The ministry has introduced the e-knowledge system, which allows logging in and documenting scientific and practical experiences, in order to make them available to all employees, so as to share their knowledge and expertise with others and make use of this knowledge to upgrade the level of performance,” he said.
Adding further, he said: “The Directorate General of Finance and Support Services has made several achievements by providing the appropriate guidance and motivating employees to carry out their tasks and duties using modern scientific methods and concepts that take into account futuristic development requirements, in order to make further achievements.” He extended his thanks to all those who contributed to organizing this forum and their efforts to ensure its success.
During the forum, the attendees watched a documentary film that showcased the most important achievements made by the Directorate General of Finance and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior.
Towards the end of the forum, Major General Salem Al Shamesi distributed certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts to the strategic partners, suppliers, as well as to the distinguished staff members, including officers, non-commissioned officers, constables, and civilians. Also honored were the work teams from the Joint Services for Specialized Procurements project; the quality, environment, occupational health and safety standard team; the follow-up team for the ministry’s obligations; and the team work in charge of evaluating the implemented proposals for 2015, in addition to the winners of the Director General’s Award for the Implemented Proposals of 2015; as well as the distinguished customers of the department.
