The Qatar International Medical Congress (QIMC) 2015 held a press conference to announce its partners and sponsors and share details about its upcoming exhibition and conference, taking place from May 26 to 28 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
With the Supreme Council of Health, Hamad Medical Corporation and the Primary Health Care Corporation as Strategic Partners, QIMC 2015 is in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. The event will attract international researchers, experts, and leading medical companies to the region, and help introduce their latest medical discoveries and advancements to improve the local healthcare sector.
When explaining this event’s importance to Qatar’s medical sector, Mr. Abdulrahman Al Mannai, Vice President of QIMC said:
“In line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, QIMC 2015 aims to continuously support events that will lay the foundations for a healthier and strong society, and encourage innovation in Qatar’s healthcare sector. This year’s exhibition will serve as the initial stepping stone in our country’s journey towards the development of the local, regional and international medical sectors, and markets that depend on the medical industry.”
“So far, the quality and level of participation is above what we expected. We are optimistic that this event will enhance the image of Qatar internationally, while boosting manufacturing in medical industries locally,” he added.
The medical event is practically sold out, thanks to the generous support of local industry leaders. Platinum sponsorship is being provided by Solutions for Services and Healthcare W.L.L. (SSHC). Representing world-renowned brands, the company is now the country’s exclusive agent for GE Healthcare. Al Madawat Medical Supplies is supporting QIMC as a Gold sponsor. Dr. Kaldari’s Surgi Art Centre is offering Silver sponsorship. Manateq is providing support as "Economic Zones Partner". The Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) is participating as Supporting Partner.
On behalf of the organising company, Rabih Karam, Managing Partner of Art & Art said:
“It is our responsibility to advance together as a nation, and the first step in doing that is maintaining the general well being of people living in Qatar. In light of the State’s quick development, the growing community needs a more adequate healthcare system. QIMC 2015 comes at a perfect time to fill this gap.”
Topics to be covered at the conference include internal medication and autoimmune diseases, oncology, cardiology, diabetology, pulmonology, innovative findings in video capsule endoscopy, antalgia, and sensitive, yet crucial, new concepts on end-of-life (palliative care).
In addition, the exhibition involves a vast showcase from recognised international companies, featuring their latest products, services and technologies in the medical field, answering to the local and regional market needs.
