(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (“Takeda”) (TOKYO:4502) today announced the appointment of James Kehoe as Takeda’s new Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Officer, effective on June 15, 2016. Mr. Kehoe will be based in Tokyo and reports directly to Christophe Weber, President & CEO of Takeda.

Mr. Kehoe is an accomplished finance executive from the Consumer Goods sector. He is a strong business leader, with a track record of improving operational business performance that includes process optimization. He joins Takeda from Kraft Foods Group in the U.S., where he most recently held the role of CFO. Prior to that, he has held a number of finance-related positions spanning the course of more than 20 years, with assignments based in Germany, Switzerland and Italy.
An Irish national, Mr. Kehoe holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University College, Galway, Ireland, and an MSc in Finance from the University College Dublin, Ireland.
