The Pan Medical Conference on Women’s Health Kicks Off Tomorrow in Abu Dhabi

With the Participation of 70 Physicians and Specialists

The Pan Medical Conference on Women’s Health, organized by the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, kicks off at the Rosewood Hotel in Abu Dhabi tomorrow, Thursday. Seventy physicians and specialists from the UAE and other countries are participating in the conference that will discuss

women’s health and the latest medical achievements to improve the prevention of various diseases. The following specialties will be included in the conference: internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology and dermatology, and the promotion of healthcare for women of all ages.

During the three-day conference, the participating physicians will be introduced to the latest clinical practices, scientific concepts in medicine, and mechanisms of patient care. They will also exchange knowledge and expertise by showcasing the latest achievements of modern medicine, scientific experiments, and advanced technologies in the field of women’s health.

The conference consists of three axes of discussion topics regarding internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and dermatology; and hosts specialized workshops regarding lung functions, ECG reading, hysteroscopy, facial cosmetics using Botox injections and fillers, and the use of the latest equipment to treat and beautify dermatological problems. The conference will also have open discussion panels with international experts and speakers.

For his part, Colonel Jassim Al Tunaiji, Director of Medical Services Department of Abu Dhabi Police, stressed that the Pan Medical Conference is considered a unique medical event, and a quantum leap in the field of women’s health. It reinforces the efforts of the UAE in providing healthcare for women according to international standards, and strengthens cooperation with international health organizations and foundations concerned with women’s health. He also pointed that the conference aims to improve methods of prevention and to spread awareness about internal diseases, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, gynecological diseases, cancer, infertility, and dermal diseases in a manner that contributes to the levels of women’s healthcare.

Lt. Colonel Dr. Najala’ Asaad Taher, Chairman of the Conference and Specialist Dermatologist at the Medical Services Department of Abu Dhabi Police, said that the UAE is invested in the wellbeing and the physical and psychological health of women, as they are considered the mothers and the caretakers of the generations.  Women play an essential role in the development of society and provide the human resources of the country with distinguished young men and women to work towards the advancement of the country.

She referred to the support that the police command offers to the Medical Services Department by improving the services it provides to the Ministry of Interior personnel, and cooperating with the medical sector to help develop medical care to all, nationwide.
