Palcon to support mobile growth and track performance

(BUSINESS WIRE)-- XLMedia (AIM: XLM), a leading provider of digital performance marketing services, is pleased to announce the launch of Palcon, a proprietary content management system, which enables improved day to day maintenance of the Company's network of over 2,000 specialist content websites.
The development of Palcon is in line with XL Media’s strategy to invest in technology in order to continuously improve customer experience, drive operational efficiencies, and maintain leadership in the sector.
Palcon will enhance productivity and efficiency for XLMedia in Content and Search through the management of its extensive website portfolio, with advanced capabilities including the following:
A consolidated management system across all websites, enabling fast and dynamic updates and upgrades
Comprehensive tracking support for website optimisation in order to analyse and evaluate changes based on the performance metrics
Centralised management allowing the Group to leverage both efficiencies and cost savings
In addition, Palcon will greatly enhance both mobile and social penetration rates across the Group’s ‘web estate’ with improved user experience for users through mobile devices. Mobile conversion has become a significant growth driver for the online gambling industry, with an estimated 44% share of the global interactive gambling market by 2018 (source: H2GC Nov 2013).
As mobile and more recently social gaming becomes a significant part of global online traffic, XLMedia will continue to invest in additional capabilities and more specifically develop technologies to support mobile and tablet devices. The development of Palcon presents an important step in improving both tracking and performance capabilities for XLMedia.
Content and Search is the largest business unit of XLMedia, representing 54% of the Group’s revenues in the first six months of 2014. XLMedia owns more than 2,000 websites providing gambling related content in 18 languages to potential online players. These sites’ content created by professional writers, attracts potential high value online gamblers, which XLMedia is then able to direct to gambling operators.
