ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, September 17th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police has called upon motorists to reduce their speeds and to exercise caution while driving in conditions of fog or low visibility. The Directorate also recommends that motorists stay up-to-date with the weather forecasts by following the news bulletins, as low visibility conditions occur throughout the year.

Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri, Chief of the Public Relations Section at the Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Directorate, advised motorists to double the normal safety distance between vehicles in order to avoid accidents. An air ambulance from the Air Wing Department at Abu Dhabi Police recently carried out five humanitarian missions, where they transported eight injured people to Al Mafraq Hospital, after providing them with the necessary medical care.
