The Community Police Section at the Khalifa Police Station in the Abu Dhabi Police Peripheral Regions Directorate participated in a campaign at Yas Mall under the theme “Don’t Use Your Mobile Phone While Driving”. This campaign is implemented by Umm Al Arab Elementary School in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the Traffic and Patrols Branch at the station.
As a part of the campaign, a number of school students distributed awareness brochures to the public. The brochures include advice to motorists, calling upon them to refrain from this objectionable behavior that can lead to unwanted consequences and serious traffic accidents; because using the mobile phone while driving is a dangerous distraction that draws drivers' attention away from the road.
