ADP Licensing Department Urges Al Ain Residents to Avail of the MoI’s Smart Services

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Monday, June 8th 2015 [ME NewsWire]

The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at the Abu Dhabi Police urged members of the public to avail of its set of services offered through the Ministry of Interior’s smart phone application “UAE MOI” and to use the Self-service E-payment Machine (Sahel) to receive the multiple services provided by the machine using modern technology to deliver fast and easy transactions.

To this end, the department has organized the 24/7 exhibition to acquaint the public with its latest e-services and smart applications at Al Bawadi Mall in Al Ain city.  The exhibition also aims to encourage the public to use the Self-service E-payment Machine (Sahel), which is easily accessible via simple and streamlined steps, explained by the department’s staff members.

Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harthi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, stressed over the commitment to spread awareness about the proper ways to avail of the licensing services provided by the Ministry via smart phones, which will save ample and precious time for citizens. He also noted that the exhibition provides members of the public with the general usage instructions, and encourages them to keep abreast of the latest developments.

The exhibition also included a live demonstration of the Self-service E-payment Machine (Sahel) and of the multiple licensing services provided via smart phones. . The department’s staff members installed the app onto the phone of some of the attendees and distributed user manuals. Attendees expressed appreciation for this tutorial, which acquainted them with the proper was to receive and avail of the services.

Brigadier Mohamed Mayouf Al Ketbi, Head of Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Abu Dhabi Police, had inaugurated the services launching platform on Sunday evening at the exhibition, in the presence of strategic partners. Such participations reflect integration between the different departments and entities that provide these services. He also stressed the commitment to acquaint customers with the various services offered by the department, and provide them with advice and guidelines that would help them access the services through modern technology, and promote the service index by completing the transactions online.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi, Head of the Peripheral Regions Traffic Department at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, in addition to a number of officers.

Shoppers at Al Bawadi Mall reviewed the steps of renewing vehicle registrations, paying fines, and how to issue a replacement for a lost or damaged card through the “Sahel” machine.  They were also briefed by the Licensing Department’s staff members on the proper ways to acquire the different services through the Self-service E-payment Machine (Sahel).

They were also acquainted about the means to receive the licensing services via simple and streamlined steps that allow a speedy completion of transactions.
