According to a report by IMARC, the total size of the healthcare cold chain logistics services market is expected to expand from its current USD 7.3 billion to almost USD 11.4 billion by 2018. While health authorities are demanding for stricter conditions from all sections of the cold chain, International Air Transport Association has created a Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) in Pharmaceutical Logistics with the aim of helping the industry to improve the transport and handling of pharmaceutical products to meet the requirements of shippers and manufacturers.

The CEO of Dubai Hospital, Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammad Saleh Al Jassmi will deliver the Opening Keynote on Challenges and Opportunities in Cold Chain. Also featured at the forum is a Regulators Panel moderated by Prof. Ibrahim Alsarra, Chairman of Saudi Pharmaceutical Society along with Dr. Ali Al Sayed Hussain, Director of Pharmacy Department, Dubai Health Authority, and the Government of Dubai.
