As part of the child protection initiative, the Abu Dhabi Police carried out an extensive training program in collaboration with the Scottish Police College in the United Kingdom in the areas of child protection from harm and abuse. The training program focused on boosting the efficiency of police staff members in dealing with various situations. The program was attended by 52 trainees from various police stations, and from the Investigations, Crime Scene, Community Police and Social Support Departments.

Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Child Protection, stressed the importance of the program in exchanging expertise and honing skills in  a bid to enhance police staff members’ role in protecting children against risks.
