Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended a ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Interior to honor winners of the first edition of the Distinguished Scholarship Award. The ceremony, held in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi, President of the Federal National Council at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Abu Dhabi, aims at honoring Emirati scholarship students from government and private agencies.

His Highness Sheikh Saif awarded the Medal of Community Service to the honorees. Traffic safety survey ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Friday, January 8th 2016 [ME NewsWire] Participants in the Ministry of Interior’s Council hosted by Hamed Al Kaff Al Hashemi in Abu Dhabi called for activating traffic safety societies and engaging them in the ongoing efforts, as well as submitting proposals and observations to the concerned authorities; activating a mobile messaging application to send traffic awareness messages about changing speed limits on various roads; and providing traffic safety tips for drivers and building escalators on pedestrian bridges, taking into account the elderly and people who have difficulty in using them. Participants in the Al Kaff Council also recommended enhancing public control by informing the traffic directorate of reckless and careless behavior of young people in some areas, especially during late-night hours.
