Educational model to raise children’s traffic safety awareness

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police reiterated their warning about the dangers associated with the self-balancing two-wheel electric scooters (hoverboards), which is growing in popularity across the UAE. The directorate urged parents to make sure these devices are suitable for children and highlighted the risks of such toys, which pose a risk to users who fail to observe safety and prevention requirements. The directorate also stressed the need to prevent children from using these boards on public roads and pavements, warning that they could cause serious risks to their lives.

ACCA Report Examines How Behaviour Reflects Culture in Worldwide Organisations

A new report, Culture and channelling corporate behaviour: ACCA member survey, published by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has found that recognition at work is the highest motivator, regardless of age, industry or location – even outstripping monetary reward.
The survey harnessed the views of almost 2,000 ACCA finance professionals from across the globe. The highest motivators for respondents that included the Middle East region, after recognition was getting to a more senior position followed by having more challenging work.

In line with the Traffic Awareness Plan for 2016, the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police spread awareness among 180 school bus drivers of Emirates Transport.
Colonel Jamal Salem Al Ameri, Chief of Public Relations Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, Abu Dhabi Police, said that the Traffic Awareness Plan aims to enhance the traffic culture of the public in general in order to create an integrated safe traffic environment.
